Pool Safety
Although a swimming pool is a great place to enjoy time with your family, it can also be a potentially dangerous hazard when safety measures are ignored. Small children should not be able to access the pool at any time without an adult’s help and supervision. Steps should also be taken to guard the pool even if a child should leave the house without an adult being aware of it. Fences, gates, walls, pool alarms, and safety covers can all be used to effectively safeguard your pool from deadly accidents.

In addition to preventive measures, pool owners and those who care for children in the home should be prepared in the event of an emergency. Lifesaving equipment and a well-stocked first aid kit should be located near the pool. Consider becoming certified in CPR and taking a lifeguarding course at a local pool to become familiar with lifesaving techniques.
